Summer is in full swing and there is so much to do around the area. If you are struggling to find things to do this summer with the kids, we have some things every family needs to do at least once this summer.

There is a splash pad at First Federal Park in Twin Falls and it is a ton of fun. You can also head down to the Downtown Commons where the splash pad is in full swing there as well. Beat the heat, and have some fun.

Dive In At Dierkes Lake

Whether you want to go swimming, go cliff jumping, kayaking, or fishing, you can do it all at Dierkes Lake in Twin Falls. There is a little playground area there as well. Hiking is fun too. I personally have never been able to make it to the Hidden Lakes or cliff jumped near the dock, but it looks like fun.

There are a couple of u-pick gardens around the area. One of the most popular is at Breckenridge across from the CSI campus. Pick your own raspberries and strawberries and more. Yes, please.

There are so many places around the area you can go for a hike. Auger Falls is a good one, down by Centennial Park is fun, even going around Shoshone Falls. And if you are up for a slight journey, check out Ross Falls or Phantom Falls in the South Hills.

Putters Mini Golf is so much fun. Each hole is a different theme associated with the Magic Valley. My personal favorite is the Shoshone Falls hole. You actually walk through a nice little cave with running water.

Maybe you just need to cool down and you don't have a pool of your own. The Twin Falls City Pool is a lot of fun. They offer different events and an inflatable tower if you catch them on the right days as well.

Indoor trampoline parks are so much fun and Jump Time is great. It is a great way to wear the kids out and have some fun. They are guaranteed to sleep well after an hour or so at the trampoline park.

The skating rink in Twin Falls is a lot of fun. Another great way to get the kids out and about, get the energy out, and have some fun. Occasionally they have adult-only nights as well, so you can partake if you don't want to bring the kids.

Twin Falls has a lot of historic sites. The Eval Kneval Jump site is interesting. The history at the Minidoka Internment Camps is eye-opening. You can check out the Herrett Center at the College of Southern Idaho. There is so much history around here you can learn about.

You can check out Gemstone Climbing in Downtown Twin Falls. It is so much fun. And if you are already passed that skill level, there are tons of places to rock climb around here. City of Rocks isn't too far of a drive. Gemstone is good for all ages and skill levels.
